Every experience can be adapted to individual needs and abilities.

Step into your own joyful journey with Nia, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live. Nia has 52 moves that optimize the body’s natural design. Nia choreography is body-centered and allows practitioners to connect to nine diverse movement styles: Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, jazz dance, modern dance, Duncan dance, yoga, Alexander Technique and Teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais. Yoga

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The main components of yoga are postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility) and breathing. The practice originated in India about 5,000 years ago, and has been adapted in other countries in a variety of ways. Studies suggest that yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance. There’s some evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains, including low back pain, depression and stress.

Pilates

Pilates is a precise system of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. It is a highly sophisticated approach to training the body that seeks to develop core strength, stability (rather than muscular bulk), muscular endurance, coordination, balance and good posture in order to allow the body to move in the most efficient way. This form of conditioning lowers the chance of injuries.

Sacred Circle Meditation

Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth. People who meditate regularly have been shown to feel less anxiety, depression, more enjoyment and appreciation of life and relationships with others are improved.

Meditation produces a state of deep relaxation and a sense of balance or equanimity. One may gain greater insight and understanding about one’s thoughts, feelings, and actions. This insight in turn offers the possibility to feel more confident and in control of life. Meditation facilitates a greater sense of calmness, empathy, and acceptance of self and others.

Sound Healing

Sound Healing is an effective and proven modality that uses vibrational sound to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace, well being and better health. During our waking state, the normal frequency of our brain waves is that of Beta.

Sound tools entrain the brain to move into the deeper Alpha and Theta brain wave frequencies. These are the frequencies that induce deep meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind and intuition. Sound is a type of energy medicine that creates the sacred space in which people can heal from stress disorders, pain, depression, the emotional roller coaster and more. Classes are facilitated in a group setting which last approximately one hour and take place fully clothed on a mat on the floor. Several instruments are played all around your body.

Belly Dancing

Belly dancing is based on one of the oldest social dances in world history, originating in North Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Belly dancing is both a beautiful form of dance and a great way to exercise. It’ll help you stay in shape and allow you to express your personal creativity. Belly dancing is enjoyed by many people all over the world. Classes are open to beginners.

Shamanic Journey Practice Night

Journeying is a simple, ancient practice of meditation and finding answers. It can feel like a light trance – one that you are totally conscious in. It feels more powerful than just a normal meditation because it is a Journey – you feel yourself move into it, and back, and often get lessons or visions during it. It is a way you can connect with your highest self and your guides. It’s earthy & born from ancient traditions, and often uses drumming to aid the journey. Come journey with us at one of our bi-monthly sessions. Journeyers must first have completed a “Learn To Journey The Shamanic Way” prior to attending these practice nights.

Learn to Journey the Shamanic Way

You are invited to learn this safe, reliable, and transformative technique taught by one of our respected shamanic practitioners. This “Learn to Journey” class/workshop is a pre-requisite in order to attend our Shamanic Journey Practice Nights which are held bi-monthly. (See Shamanic Journey Practice Night description above).
